Overview
| New opportunities have emerged in recent times for export oriented, vertically integrated agriculture developments in Australia. To realise these opportunities, our company is proposing to establish an Agricultural-Biotechnology Park as a common facility centre specifically focused on Agricultural Biotechnology based inputs and services. This regional Park will be set up as a Private Sector initiative, offering complete facilities and the necessary support for establishing private agricultural based companies. Australian Biotechnology Park Pty Ltd has the capacity to realise this, the first regional and specifically focused Australian Agricultural Biotechnology precinct, especially as it receives support from all levels of Government. Its research and knowledge of some of the existing businesses and industries involved in leading-edge biotechnology developments point to a very real need for a “point-of-reference” site; a place where R&D can take place in a collaborative environment and the full potential for new value-added agricultural products and exports can be fostered. |
